Uganda Refugee Food Crisis
Location: Northern Uganda – Refugee Settlements (Arua, Terego District, Imvepi, Rhino Camp)
Issue
Uganda hosts one of the largest refugee populations in Africa. Due to funding shortages and reduced humanitarian assistance, refugee communities are experiencing severe food shortages. Food rations distributed through humanitarian agencies have been significantly reduced, leaving many families without adequate nutrition.
The crisis is particularly affecting elderly refugees and vulnerable seniors, many of whom have no family support or income to meet their basic needs.
