WHO WE ARE
Who We Are
United Nationals Countryless Children (UNCC) is a refugee-led humanitarian and community development organisation committed to protecting dignity, restoring hope, and empowering vulnerable communities across Africa and beyond.
Founded on the principles of compassion, inclusion, social justice, and resilience, UNCC works alongside refugees, displaced persons, seniors, child mothers, children, and underserved families to create safer, healthier, and more self-reliant communities.
From humble beginnings, UNCC has grown into a trusted humanitarian organisation working across 7 countries through community-led programs focused on emergency support, education, livelihoods, health, protection, peacebuilding, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
We believe every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, safety, opportunity, and hope — regardless of their background, status, or circumstances.
Our work combines humanitarian assistance, community empowerment, advocacy, cultural preservation, and sustainable development initiatives designed to strengthen resilience and improve quality of life for vulnerable populations affected by poverty, displacement, conflict, crisis, and social exclusion.
Across refugee settlements, rural communities, border regions, and underserved urban areas, UNCC works closely with local leaders, volunteers, faith communities, humanitarian partners, and international supporters to deliver life-changing support and long-term community impact.
Through local partnerships, community outreach, and volunteer-driven humanitarian action, UNCC continues to expand programs that support:
-
Seniors wellbeing and dignity
-
Child mother education and protection
-
Refugee and displaced community support
-
Emergency relief and humanitarian response
-
Education and youth empowerment
-
Livelihood and self-reliance initiatives
-
Peacebuilding and reconciliation
-
Clean water and hygiene access
-
Health and community wellbeing
Today, UNCC proudly serves communities across multiple countries while remaining deeply committed to transparency, accountability, safeguarding, and community-centered humanitarian leadership.
Our Stories
UNCC was established through the lived experiences of displacement, hardship, resilience, and hope. As a refugee-led organisation, we understand the realities faced by vulnerable families, refugees, seniors, and underserved communities because many of our leaders and volunteers have experienced similar challenges firsthand.
What began as a small community support initiative has grown into a humanitarian movement dedicated to restoring dignity, strengthening resilience, and empowering communities through compassion and action.
Driven by volunteers, community leaders, humanitarian advocates, and international supporters, UNCC continues to work tirelessly to ensure vulnerable people are not forgotten and that communities affected by crisis have opportunities to rebuild safer and more sustainable futures.
Our Mission
To protect families in crisis, empower vulnerable communities, strengthen self-reliance, expand access to education, improve health and wellbeing, and support sustainable humanitarian solutions that help people live healthier, safer, and more resilient lives.
