Challenge
Refugees and vulnerable host communities continue to face serious challenges, including limited access to healthcare, essential medicines, protection, clean water and sanitation, livelihoods, disability services, and psychosocial support. Seniors, children, child mothers, and persons with disabilities are often among those most at risk.
UNCC Response
UNCC, through its volunteer-led programs, provides practical, community-based assistance focused on protection, health and wellbeing, senior care, disability inclusion, child protection, livelihoods, WASH, and rehabilitation. We work to strengthen dignity, independence, and resilience among refugees and host communities.

Child Protection Follow-Up – Kiryandongo
Serafina Loren and Shamim Khalil, representing UNCC, conducted a child protection follow-up in Kiryandongo to review the well-being and safety of vulnerable children and families previously identified for support. The visit focused on listening to concerns, monitoring protection needs, strengthening referrals, and ensuring that children requiring further assistance are connected to appropriate services.
