Advocacy & Community Engagement
Amplifying Voices. Protecting Rights. Strengthening Communities.
Giving Every Voice the Opportunity to Be Heard
At United Nationals Countryless Children (UNCC), we believe that every person deserves to be heard, respected and included in decisions affecting their lives, regardless of displacement, age, disability, gender or social circumstances.
Our Advocacy & Community Engagement Program promotes human dignity, refugee protection, social inclusion and meaningful participation among vulnerable refugees, displaced persons and host communities.
Through community dialogue, humanitarian advocacy, awareness campaigns and collaboration with relevant authorities, UNCC works to amplify the voices of older refugees, vulnerable children, adolescent mothers, persons with disabilities and underserved communities.
We believe sustainable humanitarian solutions begin by listening to communities and empowering people to participate in shaping their own futures.

Our Key Advocacy Priorities
1. Refugee Rights & Protection
Promoting the dignity, safety and fundamental rights of refugees and displaced persons through community awareness, constructive dialogue, protection referrals and engagement with relevant humanitarian authorities.
We advocate for fair treatment, non-discrimination, access to essential services and protection from violence, exploitation and neglect.
2. Senior Citizens' Rights & Inclusion
Amplifying the voices of older refugees, particularly those aged 65 years and above who experience isolation, disability, poverty or limited caregiver support.
Our advocacy promotes dignified ageing, access to healthcare, social protection, community participation and recognition of older persons' valuable contributions.
3. Child Protection & Girls' Education
Advocating for the safety, education and wellbeing of vulnerable children, particularly adolescent girls and child mothers facing exploitation, early pregnancy, discrimination or educational exclusion.
We encourage community-led safeguarding, safe reporting pathways and opportunities for young mothers to continue their education.
4. Disability Rights & Social Inclusion
Promoting equal opportunities, accessibility and meaningful participation for persons with disabilities.
UNCC advocates for disability-inclusive humanitarian assistance, accessible services, appropriate support and the removal of barriers that contribute to social exclusion.
5. Community Dialogue & Peacebuilding
Strengthening communication, trust and peaceful engagement between refugee communities, host communities, local leaders and humanitarian stakeholders.
Through dialogue and community participation, we encourage peaceful conflict resolution, social cohesion, accountability and respect for human rights.
6. Community Radio & Public Awareness
Through our developing UNCC Seniors Voice FM initiative, we aim to strengthen access to humanitarian information, health education, senior wellbeing messages, medication reminders and community awareness.
The initiative seeks to provide an inclusive communication platform where older persons and vulnerable community members can share experiences, raise concerns and access relevant information.
Community Participation & Partnerships
UNCC engages with refugee welfare committees, community representatives, local government authorities, humanitarian organisations and other stakeholders to identify community priorities and strengthen coordinated responses.
Our advocacy approach emphasises respectful engagement, evidence-informed recommendations, safeguarding, confidentiality and accountability to affected populations.
Our Commitment
UNCC is committed to ensuring that vulnerable communities are not only recipients of humanitarian assistance but active participants in decisions affecting their wellbeing, protection and future.
We believe that meaningful advocacy creates lasting change when communities are empowered, rights are respected and institutions work together.
Every Voice Matters. Every Right Deserves Protection. Every Community Deserves to Be Heard.
