At United Nationals Countryless Children (UNCC), we believe that every person affected by conflict, forced displacement, natural disasters or humanitarian emergencies deserves timely assistance, protection and dignity.
Our Humanitarian & Emergency Response Program supports vulnerable refugees, internally displaced persons and host communities facing urgent humanitarian challenges across East Africa.
Through community-led emergency assistance, essential relief supplies, protection referrals and partnerships with humanitarian stakeholders, UNCC works to reduce suffering, strengthen resilience and help affected families rebuild their lives.
Our Key Humanitarian Interventions
1. Emergency Food & Essential Relief
Providing available food assistance, clothing, blankets, hygiene materials and essential household supplies to vulnerable families, older persons, children and persons with disabilities.
2. Refugee & Displacement Response
Supporting refugees and displaced communities through needs assessments, humanitarian referrals, community engagement and assistance for individuals facing heightened protection risks.
3. Emergency Health & Medical Assistance
Facilitating urgent healthcare referrals, medical supplies where appropriate, health awareness and coordination with qualified healthcare providers during emergencies.
4. Protection of Vulnerable Groups
Prioritising unaccompanied and vulnerable children, adolescent mothers, older refugees, persons with disabilities and individuals experiencing neglect, exploitation or social exclusion.
5. Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)
Promoting access to safe drinking water, hygiene supplies, sanitation awareness and disease prevention in displacement-affected communities.
6. Humanitarian Logistics & Relief Coordination
Strengthening the collection, transportation and responsible distribution of donated humanitarian supplies, including healthcare equipment, educational materials, mobility aids and other essential relief items.
Where We Respond
UNCC's humanitarian activities and partnerships focus on refugee-hosting and displacement-affected communities in Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan, with particular attention to underserved settlements and communities experiencing severe humanitarian needs.
