Livelihoods & Empowerment
Building Skills. Creating Opportunities. Restoring Independence.
At United Nationals Countryless Children (UNCC), we believe sustainable livelihoods are essential to restoring dignity, strengthening resilience and reducing poverty among refugees, displaced persons and vulnerable host communities.
Our Livelihoods & Empowerment Program focuses on equipping vulnerable individuals, particularly women, adolescent mothers, youth, persons with disabilities and older caregivers, with practical skills, entrepreneurship opportunities and pathways towards economic self-reliance.
Our Key Livelihood Initiatives
-
Vocational Skills & Entrepreneurship: Promoting practical training, small business development and income-generating opportunities.
-
Hands of Hope Soap Project: Empowering vulnerable women, adolescent mothers and community members through soap-making skills, production training and potential small-business opportunities.
-
Women & Youth Economic Empowerment: Supporting skills development, financial literacy and pathways towards sustainable employment.
-
Disability-Inclusive Livelihoods: Promoting equal participation in vocational training, entrepreneurship and community economic activities.
-
Agriculture & Food Security: Encouraging community-based farming, household food production and sustainable livelihood practices.
-
Community Partnerships: Working with local businesses, humanitarian partners and volunteers to expand access to training, mentorship and economic opportunities.
Our Commitment
UNCC is committed to developing inclusive, community-led livelihood initiatives that help vulnerable individuals build confidence, strengthen household resilience and move towards long-term economic independence.
We believe empowerment goes beyond providing temporary assistance—it means creating opportunities for individuals and families to shape their own futures.
From Vulnerability to Opportunity. From Dependence to Self-Reliance.
